The Propertyowner was preparing a building permit plans for the construction of a commercial soft drink manufacturing and distribution complex. The proposed complex would be connected to the municipal water and sewer systems.

GBTS found arsenic in onsite soils and groundwater. We recommended the following:

  • Affected soils be excavated as part of an Initial Source Removal (ISR) prior to the start of construction.
  • Implementation of Soil Management, Health & Safety and/or Air Monitoring Plans during excavation and redevelopment construction activities.
  • Groundwater Natural Attenuation Monitoring Only Plan (NAMOP) for a minimum of 1‐year.
