Under the direction of a Board-Certified Safety Professional (CSP), GBTS conducted assessments to identify when and where dust explosion and flash fire hazards can exist at the facilities.  The potential consequences were evaluated to assess the level of risk and determine the adequacy of the current safeguards.  A desk review was conducted of relevant documentation.

A summary report of findings and recommendations for compliance with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standard 652-2019 Standard on the Fundamentals of Combustible Dust and Standard 61 Standard for the Prevention of Fires and Dust Explosions in Agricultural and Food Processing Facilities was provided for each location.

Based on the findings, a Combustible Dust Safety Program was developed for the specific operations of each facility.
