As part of the ten-skyscraper rehabilitation plan, the project replaced the existing facade and upgrading the interior of the over 30-story, 1.6 million-square-foot commercial office property.
In 2022, GBTS was retained to continue the environmental program. Recently we were also engaged to assist the realty company with the disposal of lead-based paint waste, which was classified as hazardous. Our service there included: verification of proper disposal, the reporting of proper disposal to the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and the US Environmental Protection Agency.
We have been working almost continuously at the facility and have some significant asbestos abatement oversight, which remains to be completed, and the timing is based on the relocation of a tenant to newly constructed space within the facility.
