Course Description
This 10 Hour OSHA Outreach training is designed to promote workplace safety and health and to make workers more knowledgeable about workplace hazards and their rights.
This Outreach program emphasizes workplace safety and health, the role of the construction worker in hazard recognition and avoidance, workers’ rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this OSHA training course, the student will be able to:- Recognize worker rights and employer responsibilities under OSHA
- Identify major hazards that are predominant when using stairways and ladders on construction site
- Define methods of controlling four main health hazards that construction worker may be exposed to
- Identify ways to select appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and life saving equipment
- Identify major focus four hazards and describe ways to prevent worker’s exposure
- Explain risks associated with unsafe use of scaffolding equipment on construction site

1.0CEU Requirements
- 100% attendance for the 10 hour OSHA course
- Completion of Continuing Education and Training Registration Form
- Active participation in all class exercises (determined by course instructor)
- Completion of required pre-and post-quiz assessment
- As applicable, achievement of minimum passing score on required end-of-course examination
- Participation and submittal of end-of-course evaluation form (must provide name on form to receive credit)
